Police investigating suspected arson at Noblesville home

Investigators believe someone intentionally set fire to a Noblesville home early Tuesday morning while a family of four slept inside the residence.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a blaze at a home in the 150 block of Tippecanoe Drive just after 1:45 a.m.

Firefighters arrived at the home and found the front steps and part of the exterior of the home engulfed in flames, according to a press release from the Noblesville Fire Department.

The family awoke to the sound of smoke alarms, and escaped safely, fire officials said.

Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set, originating on the front steps of the home, the press release said.

The home sustained about $10,000 in damage.
