Several local names of note in final Scout 2015 rankings
Scout.com released its final 2015 rankings on Tuesday and 6-11 Kentucky recruit Skal Labissiere claims the top spot.
Also of note in the top-10 is the fact that former Purdue star and assistant Cuonzo Martin has recruited No. 4 Jaylen Brown and No. 5 Ivan Rabb to Cal. The Bears are the only program with two top-10 recruits, although Duke has three in the top-15.
Of note locally:
• IndyStar Mr. Basketball Caleb Swanigan of Homestead, a Michigan State recruit, is the highest-ranked in-state prospect at No. 13.
• Indiana recruit Thomas Bryant, a 6-10 forward from Huntington Prep, W.Va., comes in at No. 28.
• Indianapolis native and former Cathedral guard Jalen Coleman is No. 40. Coleman, who played his final two seasons at La Lumiere, is an Illinois recruit.
• Evansville native JaQuan Lyle, originally a 2014 prospect and Oregon commit, is No. 46. Lyle is headed to Ohio State.
• Notre Dame recruit Matt Ryan is No. 88. Ryan is a 6-7 forward.
• Indiana recruitJuwan Morganof Waynesville, Mo., comes in at No. 96. Morgan is a 6-7 forward.
• Brownsburg guard K.J. Walton is ranked as a four-star player, just outside the top-100.
