Three people were injured early Sunday in a house fire on the near Westside.

Shortly after 8 a.m., firefighters from Wayne Township were called to a blaze in the 3600 block of Creston Drive.

Lt. Troy Wymer of the Wayne Township Fire Department said three people inside the home when the fire started were taken to the hospital.

Their conditions ranged from slightly injured to serious, Wymer said. All of the victims were adults.

Initial reports indicate that one of the victims had to be pulled from the home by firefighters.

Wymer said it took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under the control. As of 10 a.m., officials were still putting out hot spots at the scene.

Wayne Township was assisted by the Indianapolis Fire Department and the Speedway Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
