Celebrity chef Michael Symon will open his first Indianapolis restaurant in June, when he launches his burger joint B Spot at Ironworks at Keystone, the 86th Street retail/residential complex reported.

Easy-going Symon is one of the nicest guys on food television and in the restaurant industry. Known for his quick smile and friendly nature, he is a co-host on ABC's "The Chew." Four of Symon's seven B Spot restaurants are in his native Cleveland, Ohio, where the chef is credited for helping to revive the downtown restaurant scene.

B Spot serves tricked-out burgers — beef, turkey or veggie — in industrial-inspired dining rooms, each decorated with the restaurant's signature "B" mural, made with recycled beer cans.

Burgers include Fat Doug with coleslaw, pastrami, mustard and Swiss cheese. Pulled pork, coleslaw and barbecue sauce crown the Porky. The burger named Yo! is an Italian-inspired creation stacking fried salami, capicola, hot peppers, provolone cheese and Symon's ShaSha sauce, a blend of garlic, mustard, vinegar, sugar and pickled hot banana peppers.

Two bologna sandwiches as well as brats, salads, sandwiches and fries round out the menu. One bologna sandwich puts thick-cut bologna with Russian dressing, pickled red onions, sweet hot pickles and a sunny-side-up egg. Pork cracklings are among sides. Wild "Bad A**" shakes, which may be spiked with vodka or other spirits, include a vanilla, apple pie and bacon combo. More than 30 craft beers and a wide bourbon selection fill the bar.

Burgers cost around $10; sandwiches around $8; and shakes $6-$7.

B Spot burgers are four-time winners of the Best Burgers in America title at the South Beach Wine & Wine Festival's annual Burger Bash in Florida.

B Spot is Symon's first Indiana restaurant. Another B Spot is in Columbus, Ohio. Two are in Detroit. Symon's other Cleveland restaurants are Lola and Lolita. He also runs Roast in Detroit.
