We know that there are water parks around Indianapolis, but which of them have the most daring, high-flying thrills?

Here are six aquatic parks where you can find the metropolitan area's tallest water slides. Actually, one slide may not be as tall as the others, but it's still plenty of fun.

1. Splash Island

Plainfield's Splash Island aquatic park features three 30-foot tall water slides, a lazy river, leisure pool and a six-lane lap pool. There's also an interactive splash park with kiddie slides, water jets, ropes and a lily pad crossing. Bonus, the leisure pool is heated.

2. Freedom Springs

The area's newest water park features three slides that are 40 feet tall. Freedom Springs also features a lazy river, a zero-depth entry pool, kids splash zones, cabanas and more.

3. The Waterpark at Monon Community Center

The Waterpark at Monon Community Center offers two 35-foot-tall adventure slides, an aqua climbing wall and the FlowRider surfing pool.

4. Carribean Cove Hotel & Waterpark

This indoor waterpark features three 40-foot slides. Guests can visit the park or stay the night in a room at the attached hotel. The park also features splash areas, a lazy river and a spa.

5. Indy Island Aquatic Center

The Indy Island Aquatic Center indoor water park features a 15-foot slide, a shallow leisure pool and a water playhouse.

6. Franklin Family Aquatic Center

Franklin's pool has a 25-foot tall slide, along with an Olympic-sized pool with a diving well and a fun splash area and kiddie pool.
