Austin Etherington, Remy Abell and now Stanford Robinson have all transferred from IU in recent years.

IU's transfer count this offseason is now at three.

On Friday, freshman Jeremiah April became the latest Hoosiers player to leave the program. Since season's end, sophomore Stanford Robinson and freshman Max Hoetzel also chose to transfer.

IU was oversigned with its three incoming recruits and the return of Yogi Ferrell for his senior season, so another departure was expected. However, it's becoming a trend in Bloomington (as well as across the nation).

Since the start of 2013-14 season, eight players have transferred from IU for one reason or another. During Tom Crean's tenure at the school, 15 players in all have transferred out.

Here is a rundown of the 15 players who left IU to play elsewhere:

STANFORD ROBINSON (2014-15)

Stanford Robinson

Robinson spent two seasons in Bloomington before deciding to transfer following the 2015 season. Robinson played 64 times for the Hoosiers, but saw his playing time drop from his freshman to sophomore season (540 minutes to 366).

MAX HOETZEL (2015)

Max Hoetzel

A freshman out of Calabasas, Calif., Hoetzel appeared in 31 games for the Hoosiers, averaging 7.7 minutes and 2.4 points a game. "I want to find a school where I can have a bigger impact on the court."

JEREMIAH APRIL (2015)

Jeremiah April became third IU player to transfer this spring.

On a team desperate for height, the 6-foot-11 freshman rarely saw the court this past season. April averaged 1.5 points per game in four appearances. He played a total of 17 minutes during the 2014-15 season.

JEREMY HOLLOWELL (2013-14)

Jeremy Hollowell

A Lawrence Central product, Hollowell was a member of the much ballyhooed 2012 recruiting class, which called itself, "The Movement." A versatile forward, Hollowell decided to transfer to Georgia State to play under former IUPUI coach Ron Hunter. While the Panthers reached the Round of 32 in the NCAA tournament, Hollowell wasn't eligible to play yet per transfer rules.

AUSTIN ETHERINGTON (2012-14)

Austin Etherington

Injuries slowed Etherington's early career at IU, and he spent three seasons with the Hoosiers before leaving as a grad transfer and joining up with his dad's alma mater, Butler. Etherington played in 32 games for the Bulldogs this season, primarily as a reserve, and averaged 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds a game in 2015.

JONNY MARLIN (2014)

Jonny Marlin

Marlin transferred to IU as a preferred walk-on after playing more than 27 minutes a game as a freshman at IPFW. The former Center Grove standout played just 43 total minutes for the Hoosiers and left the program for NAIA Indiana Wesleyan, where he was named a first-team All-American this season.

LUKE FISCHER (2014)

Luke Fischer

A coveted big man and Wisconsin player of the year as a high school senior, Fischer's stay in Bloomington was brief. Pointing to homesickness, Fischer left IU's program prior to the second semester of his freshman season to move closer to home at Marquette. He was eligible at the midway point of this season and averaged 11.0 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Golden Eagles.

PETER JURKIN (2013-14)

Peter Jurkin

A 7-footer, Jurkin could never stay healthy enough to be a contributor in Bloomington. Shin splints were the main culprit as Jurkin played just 18 total minutes in his two seasons with the Hoosiers. Jurkin transferred to East Tennessee State, sitting out this season.

REMY ABELL (2012-13)

Remy Abell

A reserve guard during his Hoosiers career, Abell provided backcourt depth, averaging 3.5 points a game during his two years at IU. He transferred to Xavier following his sophomore season and, after sitting out a year, is a key contributor on the Musketeers' Sweet Sixteen team this year. Abell has played at least 30 minutes in each of Xavier's two NCAA tournament wins this year, averaging 8.0 points a game.

MAURICE CREEK (2010-13)

Maurice Creek

The nation's top scoring freshman at the time of a catastrophic knee injury in 2010, Creek was never the same player when he came back. More injuries only further diminished Creek's contributions to IU. He earned his degree and transferred to George Washington for his senior season. While with the Colonials in 2014, Creek reached the NCAA tournament, averaging 14.1 points a game in his lone season in D.C.

RON PATTERSON (2013)

Ron Patterson

Another member of "The Movement," Patterson never suited up for IU. A partial qualifier, Patterson failed to meet the school's academic requirements in summer courses prior to his freshman season and went to prep school before landing at Syracuse. The former Broad Ripple star played 29 times for the Orange this season, but announced that he intends to transfer.

BOBBY CAPOBIANCO (2010-11)

Bobby Capobianco

As a freshman, Capobianco averaged about 12 minutes a game for the shorthanded Hoosiers. With more reinforcements arriving in the following seasons, Capobianco was surplus and transferred to Valparaiso, where he averaged 6.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 63 games for the Crusaders.

BAWA MUNIRU (2010)

Bawa Muniru

A 6-11 project, Muniru never developed in his brief stay at IU and after scoring 11 total points as a freshman, he transferred to Tennessee State, where he managed just 7 points during the 2011-12 season. Muniru was last listed on the 2013-14 roster for NAIA's Lee University.

MALIK STORY (2009)

Malik Story

A member of Crean's first recruiting class at IU, Story bolted IU after a freshman season that showed signs of promise. Story averaged 5.9 points in Bloomington before transferring to Nevada. In the WAC, Story finished each of his three seasons among the conference's top scorers, including averaging 16.7 points a game as a senior in 2013.

NICK WILLIAMS (2009)

Nick Williams

Williams originally committed to Marquette when Crean was still the Eagles' coach. When Crean took the IU job, Williams followed. A versatile small forward, Williams averaged 8.9 points and 4.5 rebounds a game as a freshman before leaving IU for Ole Miss. During his three years with the Rebels, Williams averaged 7.1 points and 3.4 rebounds.
