1. The death ofPaula Cooper, once the youngest death row inmate, has been ruled a suicide by the coroner.

At 16 years old, Paula Cooper was sentenced to death for killing an elderly Bible school teacher in Gary. The sentence was overturned after an outcry and she was released from prison in 2013.

She's now been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. She was 45.

2. An IMPD officer found dead Monday was under internal investigation.

Veteran IMPD officer Gregory Slaven was found dead in his home on Monday. Today, it was revealed that he was under investigation for a death that occurred in the same home weeks earlier.

Police noted that he was not a suspect in the death and that he had not been suspended from the police department.

4. A dispute over the last barbecue rib allegedly led to a stabbing with a fork.

The suspect maintained she was acting in self defense, insisting the other woman was already brandishing a knife when she stabbed her in the eye.
