High school football coming to Victory Field

High school football is coming to Victory Field in October.

The inaugural Victory Field Gridiron Classic presented by the Indiana National Guard will feature two games – Cathedral vs. Fishers on Oct. 2 and Brownsburg vs. Hamilton Southeastern on Oct. 16. Both games will begin at 7 p.m.

It is the first time Victory Field – the home of baseball's Triple-A Indianapolis Indians – has hosted football. The field will run north-south, according to the Indians. Brownsburg practiced on the field last fall.

Fishers was scheduled to host Cathedral and Brownsburg was scheduled to host Hamilton Southeastern. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 3 for $8.
