BioCrossroads has landed a $2.4 million grant from the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation.

A promotional group for the life sciences in Indiana, BioCrossroads said it will use the grant money to fund projects that aim to improve public health and patient outcomes.

The multiyear grant extends through 2018, BioCrossroads said.

Said BioCrossroads’ President and CEO David L. Johnson: “We are deeply grateful to the Fairbanks Foundation for their continued commitment to the betterment of Central Indiana and their faith in BioCrossroads to extend our work as true partners in achieving big goals for this community.”

The Indianapolis foundation was founded in 1986 by the late Richard Fairbanks, founder and owner of Fairbanks Communications Inc.

Over its existence, BioCrossroads has raised more than $325 million in grants, contributions and capital investments.
