Caden Brace, dressed as a tiny Darth Vader uses the dark side to levitate Catonan Meowtti, up for adoption from FACE. The Indianapolis Star and the 501st Legion teamed up with FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic for a cat adoption event and photo shoot, Wednesday July 8th, 2015. The face website, facespayneuter.org features cats and dogs of all ages up for adoptions.

In honor of Gen Con’s arrival in Indy this week, The Star teamed up with Star Wars enthusiasts and FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic to promote adoption of cats of all ages.

Members of a local chapter of the 501st Legion international costuming organization posed with kittens and cats to bring attention to FACE’s adoption services and to find homes for the cats. FACE is a low-cost medical care clinic offering vaccines and spay and neuter services for dogs and cats, regardless of the owner’s income or geographic location.

Go to facespayneuter.org for information on pet adoption and to find other ways you can help. You can also email the adoption coordinator at Janetm@facespayneuter.org.
