Coach Tom Crean and Indiana landed in the top three for De'Ron Davis, a 2016 forward from Colorado, Wednesday.

De'Ron Davis, a longtime target for IU coach Tom Crean and his staff, announced a top three Wednesday that included the Hoosiers.

Davis, a 6-10, 235-pound prospect out of Aurora (Colo.) Overland, is ranked the No. 41 player overall in the rising senior class, according to the 247Sports Composite. That same ranking sees him as a four-star prospect, the No. 12 power forward in his class, and the No. 1 player in Colorado in his class.

Indiana first offered Davis when he was still a freshman, and Crean has kept close tabs on him since. IU coaches frequented Davis' games during the July evaluation windows.

Arizona and Kansas also landed in Davis' top three, which he announced on Twitter.

Indiana has three scholarships currently expected to open up after the coming season, and as many as three more that might be available, depending upon NBA decisions.
