Where to plant your lawn chair to view the Downtown fireworks

Highland Park, located just East of downtown Indianapolis, on New York Street has a great view of the skyline.

Celebrate Independence Day with two spectacular Fireworks shows. The displays will include a show from downtown Indianapolis' annual Freedom Blast, which is scheduled to start at 10:00 p.m., and the Indians' own fireworks show, which is scheduled to launch between the conclusion of the evening's game against the Louisville Bats and the downtown Freedom Blast.

Remember this view for 2016 - the view looking northwest from the Fountain Square Theatre Building rooftop garden. The rooftop garden is sold out for July 4, 2015.

Fourth of July fireworks explode over the skyline of Indianapolis and the downtown canal from White River State Park.

The view looking northwest from the cultural trail in Fountain Square, just north of Virginia Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue. Last year, crowd-goers hoping to find a last minute clear view for fireworks had luck in this area.

The Rathskeller Biergarten will host The Black Moods and Zanna Doo and this view of the downtown fireworks for a $5 cover charge.
