Former Cy Young winner Verlander to pitch at Victory Field Sunday

Former American League Cy Young and MVP award winner Justin Verlander is reportedly scheduled to pitch on Sunday at Victory Field against the Indians as part of a rehab assignment for the Detroit Tigers.

Verlander is recovering from a right triceps strain and threw a simulated game for Detroit in Oakland on Tuesday.

Verlander will be pitching for the Tigers' Triple-A International League affiliate, the Toledo Mud Hens.

The scheduled start time for Sunday's game at Victory Field is 1:35 p.m.
