A former McCutcheon High School physical education teacher plans to admit that he engaged in a months-long sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Defense attorney Brian Dekker confirmed Tuesday that his client, 37-year-old Jake Robinson, intends to plead guilty June 25 to all five felony counts of child seduction without the benefit of a plea agreement.

The upcoming guilty plea hearing was scheduled Friday in Tippecanoe Superior Court 2, where Robinson appeared for a pretrial conference.

Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Pat Harrington confirmed that the guilty plea hearing is scheduled, but he declined to comment, citing ethical rules.

Robinson, who was charged in January then fired about a week later by the Tippecanoe School Corp. board, faces up to six years in prison on each of the five charges.
