Woman struck and killed near Marian University

A woman was killed Friday evening when she was hit by a car on the city's Northwestside, near the Marian University campus.

The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. Police said the woman was walking north in the 3400 block of Cold Spring Road, when a car hit her, then crashed into another car.

Emergency medical crews arrived at the scene and transported the woman to IU Methodist Hospital in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead.

Police said both drivers of the vehicles involved in the incident are cooperating with investigators.

No other injuries were reported.
