4-6 inches of snow forecast for weekend

More snow is on the way this weekend, Central Indiana.

From four to six inches of snowfall is being forecast for Central Indiana from 7 p.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service is reporting.

The winter weather advisory means periods of snowfall during that stretch will make traveling difficult.

Motorists are being advised to be wary of reduced visibility and snow-covered roads.

There also may be rain mixed with snow at times during the day Sunday.

At 10:40 p.m. Saturday, 1.6 inches of snow was recorded at the National Weather Service office in Indianapolis.
