This was Indiana's favorite Super Bowl ad

Indiana went to the dogs in the Super Bowl ad race.

Maybe it was the local angle, or maybe it was the puppies. Either way, Doritos' "Dogs" commercial was Indiana's favorite, according to USA TODAY's non-scientific Ad Meter voting. The commercial, in which three dogs team up inside a large overcoat to buy Doritos, was made by a Franklin College graduate who won $1 million for his troubles.

The ad was the fourth most popular overall, behind Hyndai's overprotective dad ad "First Date," Heinz's adorable "Wiener Stampede" and "Ultrasound," the other Doritos commercial, where a baby craves chips.

Which states preferred which ads.

"Dogs" performed well in the Midwest and Western states, with Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado and Nevada all throwing their vote behind the mischievous pooches.

We eagerly await the follow-up commercial, in which it will surely be revealed how the dogs acquired the overcoat, the taste for Doritos and the money with which to purchase them.
