Josh Speidel is headed home to Columbus.

Speidel, who has been hospitalized in Indianapolis since a Feb. 1 auto accident that caused a traumatic brain injury, will return to Columbus for the next phase of his rehabilitation.

Speidel posted a photo on his Twitter account of him leaving the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana with his mom, Lisa, and dad, Dave, at his sides. "I'm going home," the Columbus North senior wrote.

Speidel, an IndyStar Indiana All-Star basketball player and Vermont recruit, has made significant progress in his recovery from the accident in recent weeks.

Lisa Speidel wrote on her Facebook account Thursday: "After 117 days, Josh is returning to Columbus!! We are busting him out! God is GOOD!! The next phase of the #JOSHSTRONG marathon begins NOW!!"
