Recruiting: Kyle Guy rises in latest ESPN rankings

Lawrence Central senior Kyle Guy is ranked as the No. 25 player nationally in the 2016 class in the new ESPN prospect rankings released on Wednesday.

Guy, a Virginia recruit, is one of 28 designated five-star players in the class by ESPN. Guy, who was a second team Super Team player last year, averaged 20.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and shot 43 percent from the 3-point line as a junior.

Southport's Joey Brunk, a Butler recruit, is ranked No. 71 by ESPN. The 6-10 Brunk averaged 16.5 points, 9 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots as a junior.

Tech's C.J. Walker is ranked No. 81. The Florida State commit averaged 23.8 points and 3.7 assists last season.

Also of note in the ESPN 100 rankings:

• No. 13 T.J. Leaf - The 6-9 Californian, a former Arizona commit, is once again considering Indiana.

• No. 15 Rawle Alkins - The 6-4 Brooklyn guard is considering Indiana among several schools.

• No. 30 Bruce Brown - The 6-4 guard from Vermont Academy (Mass.) has an Indiana offer.

• No. 34 Jaylen Fisher - The 6-1 guard has Indiana among his final six schools.

• No. 48 De'Ron Davis - The 6-8 forward from Colorado has Indiana among the programs he's considering.

• No. 57 Curtis Jones - The 6-3 guard from Huntington Prep has an official visit planned for Indiana this weekend.

• No. 66 Xavier Simpson - Indiana and Purdue are in the mix for the Ohio point guard.

• No. 75 Temple Gibbs - The New Jersey guard is committed to Notre Dame.
