A mother and son accused of planning a murder will now need $10 million if they want to get out of the Hamilton County Jail.

The bond for 51-year-old Renee Perillo, Panama City, Fla., was set at $5 million Monday during an initial court hearing.

Earlier this month, her son and co-defendant, Richard “Richie” Perillo, 21, Fallbrook, Calif., also had his bond set at $5 million for his role in the scheme.

Together, the Perillos face a felony charge of conspiracy to commit murder, as well as charges of theft, possession of paraphernalia, carrying a handgun without a license, criminal trespassing and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.

The Perillos were arrested on May 22 in the middle of their plan to kill Rebecca Eimerman, an attorney pursuing divorce settlement money from Renee Perillo’s boyfriend, according to court documents.

The Perillos were slated to appear in Hamilton Superior Court June 5 following their arrest on lesser charges, but they fled the state after posting bond. Richard Perillo was arrested June 11 in San Diego. His mother was arrested nearly two weeks later in Montana.

Police continued to investigate the Perillos after they were released on bond on May 23. Court documents say Richard Perillo bragged to a fellow inmate of coming to Noblesville to kill an attorney.

During their May arrest, the Perillos had a Glock handgun, later determined to have been owned by Trabucco, and a syringe, which was later determined to carry a lethal dose of anesthesia called succinylcholine, according to court documents.

Like her son’s bond, Renee Perillo’s bond is cash only, meaning the $5 million will need to be paid in full before she can be released. A pretrial conference for her case has been scheduled for Oct. 2.
