Bicyclist killed in Eastside hit-and-run

A 27-year-old bicyclist was killed late Saturday on the Eastside

An Indianapolis man was killed late Saturday in a hit-and-run crash on the Eastside.

About 10:45 p.m. Saturday, IMPD officers were called to the intersection of East Michigan Street and North Euclid Avenue on a report of a person struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, investigators found the cyclist, 27-year-old Charles Jones, unresponsive and lying in the road. Medics tried to save Jones, but he died on the way to Eskenazi Hospital.

Police have yet to identify to a suspect vehicle in the incident.
