Police at both Indiana University and Purdue University are investigating after women reported being sexually assaulted on or near campus.

The Indiana University Police Department confirmed that a 17-year-old reported that she was sexually assaulted by a 20-year-old male acquaintance early Sunday.

The woman told police they had been drinking heavily and believes that they may have engaged in sexual activity that was not consensual at a residence hall.

At Purdue, police are looking into a sexual assault reported early Thursday in the 100 block of Chauncey Avenue, just east of West Lafayette’s Chauncey Hill Mall.

Police said arrests have not been made in either case.
