The Carrier factory, which is one of the brands of The United Technologies Corp., is shutting down over the next three years and moving about 1,400 jobs to Mexico, Indianapolis, Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016.

The video is raw, angry. It captures the exact moment when workers at the Indianapolis Carrier plant learn they will all lose their jobs over the next three years.

Some workers boo. Others curse. Some walk out when they hear the news that Carrier will be closing its Indianapolis plant and moving 1,400 jobs to Mexico.

The video was posted on Facebook by LaKeisha Austin and has since been shared more than 13,000 times. Austin's profile lists her as an employee at UTC Carrier. The unedited video can be viewed in its entirety here. Mobile users, tap here. Viewer discretion is advised, as the video contains profanity.

Carrier in Indy, UTEC in Huntington to move units to Mexico, costing 2,100 jobs

An unidentified speaker struggles to keep control of the meeting as shouts erupt.

"I want to be clear," he says. "This is strictly a business decision." Workers openly laugh and jeer. When he says employees must "remain committed to manufacturing the same high-quality products," an audience member hurls profanity back.

The rest of the video echoes news reports, indicating that there will be "no impact on jobs today." The first positions will be eliminated in mid-2017, and layoffs will continue until 2019.

Carrier will also eliminate 700 Hoosier jobs at its UTEC facility in Huntington by 2017.
