Are you one of those people who like to run for fun? Or do you prefer to walk for your fitness routine? Maybe you're a couch potato at heart, but you like to support a worthy cause.

We've got you covered for May and June with fund-raising walks, runs and rides throughout Central Indiana.

The mother of all runs locally is the 500 Festival Mini, but it's too late for that. Here are some other options, so grab your shoes and get moving!

The Dirty Girl Mud Run 5K is about having fun and getting dirty with your girlfriend

Dirty Girl Mud Run in Knightstown

Like to play in the dirt? Billed as the world's largest "women's only" mud run, the Dirty Girl Mud Run 5K is about having fun and getting dirty with your girlfriends. It also benefits Bright Pink, a national nonprofit focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. $65.

Nefarious Noblesville Ghost Walk in Hamilton County

8 p.m. June 12, Courthouse Square, Downtown Noblesville, www.unseenpress.com

Meet on the south side of Courthouse Square. Reservations required. $18, seniors 65+ and children $13 (under 6 not allowed).

The family friendly run/walk is dedicated to building awareness of melanoma and other skin cancers. It takes place in the evening to keep participants out of the sun's most harmful rays. $26-$30.
