Star report

Catch the ball? Check. Dwayne Allen is one of the most versatile tight ends in the NFL.

Block? Check.

Talk? You have no idea.

The Indianapolis Colts tight end will host the "Dwayne Allen Show" on IndyStar.com and Fox59 from George’s Neighborhood Grill on the Northside at 7 p.m. every Tuesday beginning Sept. 8. Allen will not only take you inside the Colts’ locker room, but out into the community with his “Made in Indiana” series. The show will feature a mix of sports and entertainment and will take place before a live audience.

“I wanted to have an opportunity to voice what I care about the most, and that’s serving people and giving back,” Allen said. “That’s the key to true happiness in life and I want to share that with everyone else.”

"The Dwayne Allen Show" will be held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at George's Neighborhood Grill on the Northside beginning Sep. 8, and can be seen on IndyStar.com.

There will also be plenty of Colts talk you can’t get anywhere else featuring IndyStar columnist Gregg Doyel and Fox59 sports director Chris Hagan, plus Allen will interview a special guest from the Colts each week. The live audience will also get in on the act with Winners & Losers and other interactive opportunities.

“We are excited to bring back our unique Colts show for a third season and think Dwayne Allen will be a fabulous host,” said Ronnie Ramos, the IndyStar’s managing director. “He is very passionate about hosting the show and it will be a great blend of sports and entertainment. Adding a live television broadcast will allow us to get the show in front of even more fans this year.”

The show will run from 7-7:45 p.m. on IndyStar.com, with Fox 59 broadcasting from 7:15-7:30 p.m. If you can’t catch it then, you can watch it on demand later.
