Greenwood murder victim ID'd as Bargersville man

The Greenwood Police Department has identified the man fatally shot Friday at Woodale Terrace apartments.

Douglas Lane, 20, of Bargersville died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to a Monday news release from the Police Department.

Officers responding to a report of multiple shots fired about 3:40 p.m. Friday found the body in an apartment at 765 Woodale Terrace, police said.

Witnesses described the murder suspect as a black man around the age of 30 wearing plaid shorts and white tennis shoes and carrying a bag. He was seen running north from the apartment, near Fry Road and U.S. 31.
