ALL-USA Indiana Athletes of the Week (Feb. 7-13)

These athletes were chosen for the week ending Feb. 13.
WRESTLING
RICKEY SAMUELS, Lawrence North
Samuels won the New Castle Semistate at 170 pounds, pushing his record to 40-6. The senior has also won Marion County, Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC), sectional and regional titles this season. He led a group of four Lawrence North wrestlers to the IHSAA state finals this weekend at Banker's Life Fieldhouse.
BOYS SWIMMING
ROBERTO MEDINA, FORT WAYNE WAYNE
Medina is first in his junior class. He has qualified for the sectional final meet on Feb.20, for his 100 butterfly with a time of: 1:08.67 and the 200 individual medley with a time of: 2:32.58. Both the 200 medley and 200 free relay’s that Medina is a part of qualified for sectional finals as well. He is the captain of the boys swim team and is also going to receive the MVP award for this season. He is an amazing kid all around; Always ready to help his team in any way he can.
GIRLS SWIMMING
LEXI BLACKBURN, Cascade
Blackburn became the first diver from Cascade to advance to the state finals. Lexi placed 19th at the IHSAA State Diving Championships Feb. 13 at the Natatorium at IUPUI. Blackburn is a standout student and compete in volleyball as well.
BOYS BOWLING
PATRICK HUEBSCHMAN, Jasper
Huebschman started the semi-state singles competition with 12 strikes and a perfect 300 game. He finished qualifying with a 732 series and finished third in the singles competition. His team finished second, so he will advance to the finals at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl in both singles and team on Feb. 20.
GIRLS BOWLING
TABITHA DAWSON, Lafayette Jefferson
Dawson rolled a 637 series on the way to qualifying first and then winning the semi-state singles in Fort Wayne on Feb. 13. She also led her team to a first place finish. She will be competing in both team and singles at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl for the state championship on Feb. 20.
BOYS BASKETBALL
CAMERON HARRIS, Mooresville
On Feb. 9, Harris scored seven points, had eight assists and two steals in a win over Bloomington North. On Feb. 12, he scored 27 points, had eight assists and two steals in a loss to Martinsville. He is coming off ACL surgery this past summer and continues to help lead the pioneers.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
COURTNEY DUNLAP, Argos
Dunlap scored 54 points in a pair of regional games to lead Argos to its first regional win in 10 years on Feb. 13. She leads her team in points, assists and steals.
GYMNASTICS
ERIKA HUNTSMAN, Waldron
In the first year of the Waldron gymnastics team, Huntsman has competed very well against gymnastics programs with longer histories. In a meet with Shelbyville and Rushville, Huntsman received a score of 8.225 on the vault, 6.325 on the beam, and 7.8 on the floor which earned her first place.
