  • Lanes reduced weekend nights for 6 weeks

Work crews will begin resurfacing five miles of I-65 on the Northwestside tonight, forcing lane closures on weekend nights.

The $3.2 million project by Milestone Contractors will be finished in September. The I-65 portion to get new pavement will be from I-465 north to I-865, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Lanes will be closed each weekend for six weeks from Fridays at 9 p.m. through Mondays at 6 a.m. After that, traffic will be restricted to one lane on weeknights until September.
