The Thursday, Feb. 13, episode of "American Idol" will showcase Indianapolis teenager Marrialle Sellars as she performs "Wrecking Ball," a No. 1 hit for Miley Cyrus in 2013.

Sellars a senior at Lawrence Central High School, is competing in the "Hollywood" round of the 13th season of "Idol."

In a January interview with The Star, Sellars said she's accustomed to being compared to Cyrus.

"All of the competitors I really talked to in Detroit (during the initial audition phase), they literally called me 'Black Miley,' " Sellars said. "So, you know, I'm OK with it. I don't think it's such a bad thing, because she's such an icon right now."

Watch Sellars sing "Wrecking Ball" for panelists Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr.

This week's episodes of "American Idol" will air at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday on WXIN-59.
