Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested or cited 95 adults, 92 minors and 12 juveniles over the weekend during the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza in Terre Haute.

Of those arrested, 67 were taken into custody for illegal possession or consumption of an alcoholic beverage, according to Cpl. Brandon Thomas.

Three people were arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and five were charged with criminal recklessness with a motor vehicle.

On Saturday night, a 26-year-old Terre Haute woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while suspended with a prior conviction, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering another person and neglect of a dependent. Police said her vehicle drove left of center as her 14-month-old and 3-month-old children rode with her.

Early Sunday, a 23-year-old Terre Haute man was arrested on a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement. Thomas said after running from police during a traffic stop, the man was located and approached by a plain clothed Excise officer.

After the officer identified himself as law enforcement, the man responded by shoving the officer to the ground and trying to run again. He was caught a short time later.
