Indianapolis Colts players head to Anderson for training camp Saturday. Reggie Wayne won't make one of his customary grand entrances because the team decided not to re-sign him. But it's fun to look back at how he used to arrive.

2006 - Arrives in an Edgerrin James jersey

After the 2005 season the Colts and running back Edgerrin James decided to part ways. That's when the Colts' Ring of Honor member joined the Arizona Cardinals.

But being with a new team doesn't mean friendships have to end. After all, both Wayne and James were teammates for a few years at Miami.

This is probably the least dramatic entrance for Wayne.

2007 - Arrives in hunting gear

This was the year the Colts were on top of the NFL. They had just won the Super Bowl earlier that year and were ready to get back to work.

According to Colts.com the reason for Wayne's outfit was simple. He said the club would be stalked following a victory in Super Bowl XLI.

2009 - Arrives in a dump truck

Wayne didn't do anything special in '08, but he more than made up for it in '09. He arrived in a hard hat that read "Wayne's Construction" and even rented a dump truck for added effect.

He said hard work would be needed for the Colts to reach the Super Bowl again.

2012 - Arrives with military members

Reggie Wayne arrives in 2012.

Wayne took a big break from grand entrances, but he came back in 2012. This time he was escorted by the 38th Aviation Brigade from the 38th Indiana Division. He explained his reasoning:

"I don't want people to look at it as a joke, a gimmick. I fully support our military. I'm taking a page out of their book. I want our team to actually take a page out of their book. They are what you call the 'true heroes.' I wanted to think what we can take in our repertoire that people see outside of football.

"You can't get better than the military. They are selfless. They're definitely there for each other, and they make it happen, no matter what the situation is. What we have to do is go out there and make it happen, no matter what obstacles we have in our path. We have to find a way to get around it and keep moving."

2013 - Arrives in a helicopter

In 2013, Wayne made his biggest entrance of them all. He arrived in the cockpit of an IU Health LifeLine helicopter. He made the trip with IU Health patient Matt Sercer, from Plainfield, who was injured in a farming accident.

"I read his story. It was touching," Wayne said. "A lot of things weren't expected of Matt, to be able to walk again and things of that nature.

"Guys like Matt ... they're the real heroes. It inspires you to go out there and do great things and prove people wrong. A lot of people didn't think Matt was going to be able to walk again, and he's out here moonwalking with me."

2014 -- Vrooms into Anderson in an IndyCar

Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne arrives in a two-seater IndyCar on the first day of training camp, on July 23, 2014, at Anderson University.

"I'm a guy that likes speed and this is one way to get that speed in me. I enjoyed every bit of it," Wayne said, adding this was his favorite of his creative training camp arrivals.
