IU has top online MBA program, report says

Indiana University’s Kelley Direct snapped up the top spot for best online business programs in U.S. News and World Report’s 2015 graduate school rankings.

Other top-rated online programs include IU in education, Ball State University in business and nursing, and Purdue University in engineering.

Among Indiana’s highest performers this year in the rankings, released today:

• IU-Bloomington came in at No. 21 for top MBA programs, with nods for its accounting, entrepreneurship, information systems, production and operations, and part-time programs. University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business ranked No. 23. Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management was noted for its programs in production and operation and supply chain and logistics.

• IU-Bloomington also landed at No. 25 for its education graduate school, recognized for its curriculum and instruction, elementary education and higher education administration programs.

• Purdue remained one of the country’s best engineering schools, tied at eighth with the University of Michigan. Among its notable graduate programs, Purdue took the top in biological and agricultural engineering.

• Notre Dame (26) and IU (29) were edged out of the top 25 best law schools, but Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis grabbed mentions for its health law and legal writing programs. IUPUI also came in No. 18 for best part-time JD programs.

• Of the best medical schools, the rankings placed IUPUI at No. 18 for top schools for primary care.

• Two of the most diverse law schools in the country: Valparaiso University and University of Notre Dame.
