Davey Blackburn, the husband of an Indianapolis woman shot and killed in her home last week, spoke out for the first time on Good Morning America, and said he is "baffled" by the slaying.

Amanda Blackburn died Thursday after she was shot and killed Tuesday morning in her Northwestside home in what police are calling a burglary.

"Amanda didn't have an enemy in the world," Blackburn told GMA anchor George Stephanopoulos. "This has baffled us as much as anybody."

Detectives said in a press conference on Friday that surveillance equipment captured images of a suspect who police said burglarized a nearby home just before Blackburn's killing.

Blackburn, pastor and founder of Resonate Church, an independent church on the Northside, said investigators haven't briefed him on the case beyond what police have released to the public.

He spoke at length during the segment about his wife's relationship with Jesus. Both come from a family of preachers.

"She spent her life pouring her life out to people," Blackburn said of his wife.

When asked about his 15-month-old son Weston, Blackburn said knowing he will grow up without his mom has been "one of the hardest things in this whole process."

Detectives are still searching for the suspect caught on camera, described by police as a a male between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and of slim-to-medium build, who was wearing light-colored pants and a two-toned hoodie.

Police said last week that the suspect slipped into the house after seeing Davey Blackburn leave for the gym.
