Motorcyclist killed in Johnson County crash

An Indianapolis man died Thursday after crashing a motorcycle near Greenwood.

Shawn Cothron, 47, was traveling south on Ind. 37 approaching Smith Valley Road when he lost control of a motorcycle at about 4 p.m., Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Cothron's 1994 Harley Davidson struck two vehicles before he was thrown from the bike, according to a report.

Cothron was not wearing a helmet.
