Ko, a new signee to Indianapolis-based Joyful Noise Recordings, will perform Friday as part of the "Julian Jam" at Speedway's Dallara IndyCar Factory.

Singer-songwriter Kristin Newborn adopted "Ko" as her stage name following the 2012 demise of indie rock band Slothpop. Ko's debut 7-inch EP for Joyful Noise includes "Four Drinks In" and three additional songs.

The Julian Jam will raise funds for the Julian Center, a nonprofit domestic violence shelter.

Musicians from the Girls Rock! Indianapolis summer camp program also will perform. WZPL-FM (99.5) on-air personality Nikki Reed is master of ceremonies for the 21-and-older event.

The Dallara site will offer street-legal race car rides in Speedway as well as racing simulators.

Admission, $55, includes tastings of Blue Moon, Flat 12, Fountain Square Brewery, Sun King and Upland beer. Food and wine also will be served.
