Indiana State Excise Police on Sunday night arrested two men and confiscated more than 150 bottles and cans of beer and liquor from an Eastside Indianapolis house they say was the site of an illegal alcohol-selling operation.

Police served a search warrant in the 800 block of North Gladstone Avenue at about 5 p.m. Sunday after a three-week investigation into an anonymous tip that people were illegally selling alcohol out of the house, according to a news release from excise police.

Two Indianapolis men were arrested and jailed in connection with the operation. One man, 51, was preliminarily charged with selling alcohol without a permit and selling alcohol on a Sunday, when it is prohibited. The other man, 53, was preliminarily charged with illegally using a location for alcohol sales.

Police confiscated 142 12-ounce cans of Natural Ice beer and 18 375-milliliter bottles of liquor, as well as an undisclosed amount of money, according to excise police.
