Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from quarterback Andrew Luck.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay upped the ante in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Wednesday, getting doused by quarterback Andrew Luck (who previously dunked QB Matt Hasselbeck) and announcing he will contribute $10,000 to fight the degenerative disease.

Irsay also challenged rock musicians John Mellencamp and Stephen Stills and "Colts Nation" to get an ice bath or contribute to battle ALS.

Indiana Pacers President Larry Bird, who lost his mother to ALS, became the latest notable Indianapolis sports figure to take the plunge.

Bird chose to accept Pacers point guard George Hill's challenge, and while he kept his feet warm in the Pacers' locker room hot tub, we'll give Larry a pass.

Bird then challenged Irsay, among others.

Bird wasn't the only one to accept Hill's challenge. Pacers coach Frank Vogel, who was called out by Hill, allowed his daughters to dump ice water on him Tuesday night.

Vogel nominated Roy Hibbert, Solomon Hill and former Pacer Lance Stephenson to take the ALS Challenge next.

However, I wouldn't hold my breath for Hibbert's participation. The big man tweeted out, "Just gonna make a donation."
