Kenny Chesney, who has played Lucas Oil Stadium three times since 2008, is on tour to promote "The Big Revival" (a No. 2 album on Billboard's Top 200 chart in 2014), while Eric Church is on tour to promote "The Outsiders" (a No. 1 album in 2014). They are joined on the bill by Brantley Gilbert, Chase Rice and Old Dominion.

Virginia Avenue Folk Fest

Shelby Kelley will perform with the Shelby County Sinners as part of the Virginia Avenue Folk Fest on May 9.

For its inaugural edition, this grassroots festival welcomes 70 acts from across the state to perform along Virginia Avenue.

A diverse array of styles will be represented on the festival's nine stages throughout the day, ranging from rock to bluegrass. All event proceeds will be donated to Trusted Mentors, a nonprofit organization that works to provide at-risk Indianapolis adults with mentoring relationships.

George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic

George Clinton will perform on May 14 at The Vogue.

This iconic collective fronted by George Clinton has existed under several names since emerging in the 1960s, becoming synonymous with funk while also impacting myriad artists along the way.

In reflecting on Clinton's legacy, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame notes, "If James Brown is funk's founding father, Clinton has been its chief architect and tactician." Indianapolis-based Kool's Bazaar will open.

Interpol

Daniel Kessler will perform with Interpol on May 12 at Old National Centre.

After wrapping a grueling 200-date tour in 2011, members of this New York post-punk band were unsure whether they'd continue on or simply turn out the bright lights for good — a legitimate possibility following the exit of founding bassist Carlos Dengler.

But Interpol, now a trio, returned with 2014's "El Pintor," the band's fifth studio album.

Interpol will visit Old National Centre amid a 2015 schedule that includes appearances at Coachella, Germany's Rock am Ring festival and the Netherlands' Lowlands festival.

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks will perform on May 14 at the Palladium.

With distinguished solo careers on their own, husband-and-wife duo Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks established this 11-member roots-rock behemoth back in 2010.

The group, which won the Best Blues Album Grammy for its 2011 debut "Revelator," will be promoting its sophomore album "Made Up Mind."
