Budweiser? Here are 5 beers Peyton Manning should drink instead
After winning the Super Bowl, Manning said he would be drinking a lot of Budweiser. Here's some other options, Peyton.
“I’m going to drink a lot of beer tonight,” Peyton Manning said immediately following the Denver Broncos big win over the Carolina Panthers.
“Budweiser. Von Miller's buying.”
And that was the second time he mentioned the St. Louis-based beer giant.
How much did he get paid for it? The Internet says nothing.
Peyton Manning and Budweiser: 5 (now 7!) things to know
Either way, craft beer fans were disappointed. Here are five craft beers he could be drinking instead.
Oatmaha
Tow Yard Brewing, Indianapolis
In collaboration with Factotum Brewing in Denver, this Oatmeal Pale Ale was made especially for Manning after giving Indianapolis 14 incredible seasons and a Super Bowl win. The name, of course, pays homage to his infamous audible, “Omaha! Omaha!”

Rocky Hop IPA
Saw Works Brewing Company, Knoxville, Tenn.
Remember that time Manning danced to “Rocky Top"? We know he loves his alma mater the University of Tennessee. So maybe craft beer wasn’t cool back then, but it is now. The hops could be a little much for the quarterback, but the name is perfect.
Abita Light
Abita Brewing Company, Abita Springs, La.
Located just north of Manning’s hometown of New Orleans, Abita Brewing’s Light is a lager like the Bud he so desires. Plus, at only 118 calories, it won’t balloon his post-retirement bod. (Assuming he does in fact retire.)
Deflator Doppelbock
Flat 12 Bierwerks, Indianapolis
The brewery made a beer calling out Manning’s on-field arch nemesis Tom Brady following Deflategate. While the Deflator brew was short-lived, the brewery offers plenty of other options to suite his palate — perhaps the seasonal Hinchtown Hammerdown, a pilsner-style beer and tribute to IndyCar racer James Hinchcliffe, is lagered and cold-stored.
Doyel: Peyton Manning isn't what you think; he's better
Mama’s Little Yella Pils
Oskar Blues Brewery, Longmont, Colo.
Oskar Blues is one of Colorado’s largest breweries, and just miles from Denver, Manning's second professional home. This light and refreshing beer comes in portable, 12-ounce cans, so Peyton can drink “a lot” of it.
