NCC tourney begins this weekend

The addition of Tech to the North Central Conference brings an added attraction to the local high school boys basketball schedule – the NCC tournament.

The tournament begins on Saturday with games at Tech and McCutcheon and finishes next weekend (Feb. 19-20). Here’s a look at the schedule with matchups and game sites:

Sat., Feb. 13

At Tech

Anderson (3-14) vs. Kokomo (9-8), 1 p.m.

Logansport (12-6) vs. Muncie Central (11-7), 5 p.m.

Tech (14-4) vs. Anderson-Kokomo winner, 7 p.m.

At McCutcheon

West Lafayette Harrison (10-8) vs. Richmond (8-11), 1 p.m.

Marion (12-5) vs. Lafayette Jeff (9-7), 5 p.m.

McCutcheon (16-3) vs. Harrison-Richmond winner, 7 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 19

Winners bracket games, 6 and 8 p.m. (if Kokomo is in winner’s bracket, it will host)

Ninth-place game, 11 a.m.

Seventh-place game, 1 p.m.
