The bow of the grand cruise ship floating 10 floors above Mass Ave is likely one of the best spots to watch the Downtown fireworks this Fourth of July.

It's an expansive wrap-around terrace, encasing the penthouse at Three Mass condos commonly referred to as an aquatic vessel to those who followed the building's construction in 2007.

"You'd be hard-pressed to find panoramic views like this," said F.C. Tucker realtor Casey Ward Lewis.

Now, the 5,516 square-foot, 3-bedroom 2 full and 2 half-bath condo at 333 Massachusetts Ave. is going for $1,999,999.

The view of the skyline is almost as stunning from inside, in the media room — what would be the helm of the ship. And to keep from obstructing the view, the room boasts a projector with a screen that retracts into the ceiling.

Much of the unit isn't just an open-concept design — it's a wide-open concept with minimal enclosures and doorways. A mirrored breakfast prep sink on one of the two islands in the kitchen sits above a Sub-Zero wine and beverage chiller. The countertops all are thick marble cascade tops, with refrigeration drawers and two Asko dishwashers below. Cabinets conceal a pantry, Sub-Zero refrigerator and built-in Miele espresso machine and microwave.

A walk-through butler pantry separates the kitchen from the great room, with a hand-painted black floral wall, adorned with small silver studs. Perhaps unconventional to some design tastes, the bold black and white wall runs parallel to a marble-encased fireplace and an office with custom floor-to-ceiling frosted rolling doors.

The condo's designer added a wide hallway with open walls for an in-house art gallery, Ward Lewis said. A guest bedroom with lime green accents, a walk-in closet and hand-painted bathroom walls over a metallic waffle-textured flooring open up halfway through the gallery hallways.

And then there's the first full bath. A floor-to-ceiling brick-like pattern of horizontal mirror panels create a trippy mosaic, reflecting a singular fuschia wall.

The master bedroom has its own private terrace and shows a north view of town, looking out on Mass Ave. An interior surround system reaches the master, as well. The bathroom-closet combination is an open spa are with a bathtub and shower in a clear-glass-enclosed area, adorned with a coral tile design. Beyond that, a full closet room surrounds the bathroom area, with a purse and shoe closet.

This penthouse in a cruise ship in the sky has top-of-the-line appliances, all modern design and has one of the best locations in the city, said Ward Lewis.

"It's designed to entertain."
