Phoenix Suns forward Troy Williams (16) goes up for a shot during an NBA summer league basketball game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Las Vegas on July 17, 2016.

Troy Williams has signed a partially guaranteed contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to NBA reporter David Pick.

The move comes after Williams impressed with the Phoenix Suns' summer league squad, averaging 12.3 points and 4.3 rebounds over six games. Williams did not respond immediately to a request for comment from IndyStar.

A 1,000-point scorer and three-year starter at Indiana, Williams helped pace the Hoosiers to an outright Big Ten title and a Sweet 16 appearance last March. He led the Hoosiers in rebounding, and his explosiveness and athleticism made him one of the league's toughest matchups, though he struggled at times with consistency.

Williams elected to forgo his final season of eligibility, and landed with Phoenix after going undrafted.

He is the second Hoosier to lock down a permanent home in the NBA. Yogi Ferrell signed with the Brooklyn Nets earlier this week.
