Rain, rain go away: Weather cancels some local fireworks displays
Well, what can we say? It’s raining on our parade. Here are the local fireworks displays that have been canceled or postponed due to weather.
Southport Fourth of July Parade and Festival
All Fourth of July activities have been canceled. It will not be rescheduled.
Indiana Grand Racing and Casino
The Independence Day celebration and fireworks display have been rescheduled for July 9, beginning at 6 p.m., according to a statement.
4300 N. Michigan Rd., Shelbyville
Beech Grove
All American Day and Fireworks activities scheduled for July 3 have been canceled due to rain. At this time, it has not been rescheduled.
Sarah T. Bolton Park, Beech Grove
Whitestown
Rescheduled for Friday, July 8.
Eagle Church, 5801 S. Main St., Whitestown
Franklin Firecracker Festival
The festival has been canceled due to rain. Fireworks will be rescheduled for a later date, according to the Franklin Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
Indiana Masonic Home Circle, Branigin Blvd., Franklin
Saxony Lake and Beach
The Independence Celebration Concert and Fireworks are cancelled. The fireworks are rescheduled for Sept. 2.
