Three shot at party at Fort Harrison State Park

Officials are investigating after three people were shot at a party on a property at Fort Harrison State Park.

Lawrence Police Department officers responded to a call of shots fired at a property in the 500 block of Wood Road just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to a news release.

Upon arrival, officers found that a large party of approximately 150 people was being held at a rental cottage in the park. For reasons unknown at this time, shots were fired, injuring three people.

The three victims were transported to local hospitals and were in stable condition. Their names have not been released.

Indiana conservation officers are taking the lead on the investigation, with Lawrence Police Department assisting.
