Andy Mohr Automotive has agreed to enter into an exclusive, 10-year partnership with the Avon Community School Corp. that will rename Avon High School’s athletic facilities in the dealership's honor.

The agreement, which was approved by the corporation’s board of trustees, also will result in the dealership donating six vehicles for raffles, providing a yearly $5,000 grant for teachers throughout the next decade and a vehicle discount program for district employees.

The vehicles that will be raffled are expected to push the partnership’s value to more than $1 million.

“Avon is an important community to us. We have hundreds of employees and thousands of customers in Avon,” said Andrew Mohr, chief executive officer of Andy Mohr Automotive. “We believe that this long-term partnership with Avon Community School Corp. will enhance the lives not only of the students and faculty at Avon, but the entire community, our customers and our future customers.”

The outdoor athletic complex at Avon High School will be renamed as the Andy Mohr Athletic Complex, according to a news release from the district. The high school’s gymnasium, aquatics center and field house also will be renamed.

“We are especially grateful for Mr. Mohr’s support of our students and staff,” Margaret Hoernemann, superintendent of the Avon Community School Corp., said in a statement. “This partnership will enhance what ACSC is able to accomplish in the classroom, on the field and in extracurricular activities.”

Andy Mohr Automotive operates 12 dealerships, one heavy-duty truck center and four collision centers in Central Indiana.
