Indianapolis is ranked the 13th-most-dangerous city in the U.S., according to financial news site 24/7 Wall St.

The site used violent crime data from the FBI’s 2015 Uniform Crime Report to rank major U.S. cities. Violent crimes were broken down into four categories: murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

Indianapolis averaged 1,288 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2015, the report said.

Aggravated assault and robbery contributed the most to Indianapolis' ranking on the list, 24/7 Wall St. said. In 2015, 440 robberies and 752 aggravated assaults were reported per 100,000 people. The national average is 102 and 238 per 100,000 people, respectively.

With 148 murders on record in 2015, Indianapolis also was well above the national average for homicides. As of Sept. 30, there have been 116 homicides in the city in 2016.

St. Louis was ranked the most dangerous city this year, replacing Detroit.
