Tom Petty's 2017 summer tour includes Indianapolis date

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tom Petty will visit Indianapolis during his 2017 tour.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band's self-titled debut album, will perform May 13 at Klipsch Music Center.

Tickets for the show, which will feature Joe Walsh as the supporting act, go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 16.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, known for signature tunes "American Girl," "Mary Jane's Last Dance" and "Refugee," last performed at the Noblesville amphitheater in 2013.
