Chris Rock will perform May 3 at Old National Centre.

Chris Rock will perform in Indianapolis as part of his first stand-up comedy tour in nine years.

Rock's "Total Blackout" tour will make a May 3 visit to the Murat Theatre in Old National Centre. Tickets, $49.50 to $125, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Visit LiveNation.com or call (800) 745-3000.

The "Saturday Night Live" alum and creator of sitcom "Everybody Hates Chris" announced his plans to tour in a Facebook Live video that streamed Monday night from the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

Rock last performed in Indianapolis in December 2007. That Murat date was part of a tour that continued into 2008 and was documented in an HBO special titled "Kill the Messenger."

In October, Netflix announced it will be home for the next two specials made by Rock.
