Police identify victim in hit-and-run crash

A bicyclist was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash on the southwest side, but police said his body was not found until Friday morning.

The victim, later identified as 51-year-old Chris Hamilton, of Indianapolis, was likely struck on West Troy Avenue just east of South Lynhurst Drive before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Kendale Adams said. His body was discovered on the side of the road about 6:15 a.m. Friday.

Police have released no information on a possible suspect.
