Yes, Carmel has a life-size Trump pumpkin standing by Main Street

A Trump pumpkin scarecrow stands near Main Street in Carmel on Oct. 18.

A handful of cars slowed to a crawl Wednesday evening to take a look at what can only be described as a "Trumpkin" scarecrow in Carmel.

The life-size scarecrow, positioned in a yard facing Main Street, is made to look like President Donald Trump. The suited scarecrow includes some of the typical jabs at his appearance, including small doll hands and straw hair that vaguely reflects his signature style.

The homeowners weren't there when IndyStar stopped by on Wednesday, but neighbors said it has been up for a day or two and has been getting some attention.

"Too much attention," one neighbor said.

A man stops Oct. 18 to take a selfie with a Trump pumpkin standing by Main Street in Carmel.

People are stopping to take selfies with the scarecrow, including Carmel resident Luis Alcaraz. He walked over from his house "just to take a picture," he said.

"It's very clever," Alcaraz said. "I feel like it's more like an expression of your freedom ... making fun of something."

He said it was surprising to see it along a relatively busy street.

A Carmel city official told Fox59 the Trumpkin hasn't garnered any complaints, and that the homeowner is considering adding another scarecrow for Vice President Mike Pence.

One neighbor enjoyed it so much they left a six-pack of Pumpkin Ale on the doorstep with a thank-you note.
